Well we waited a long time, but our May, 2nd Monday weavers gathering was in person, outside on a lovely spring day, maskless and joyful; at Elin and Bob’s lovely country farmhouse. We are kicking Zoom to the curb although it sure made staying connected during covid a great option.

Elin showed us her new spring colored rugs just off the loom. And then more, and more, and then even more rugs came out of the house and were laid out in all of their glory in the grass.  Some people were obviously more productive during quarantine than I was.

All in all it was just a great day to share our projects, laugh together and rejoice in being with friends again.  We are fortunate in so many ways.  Thank you to the creators of the vaccine that has given us our freedom again and to all of the people who have chosen to take it as a means to keep our community healthy.

I had a sweet mothers day. The embroidery from my daughter depicts the three trees named after my daughters and the eagle that nests in the Jessi tree.
