I can't think of a better way to spend a "when will it ever be spring" day than surrounded by my fiber friends.  I think everyone felt the same as we had a larger than average group, brave an iffy driving day after a snowfall overnight.  Lots of us have treacherous driveways and I know [...]

Thank you Barb for having our wandering weavers out to your beautiful valley home and to see what you have been up to in your studio; pictured below. Your labels crack me up and I know you made the right decision when you were trying to decide between learning to play the piano or how [...]

Coming home

Since moving out of the studio space that a group of us has shared, I have been setting up 2 of my looms at home and trying to organize all that fiber in a much smaller space. My 54" Glimakra will be in storage but just about everything else is stuffed into a few areas [...]

We have greatly enjoyed opening our studio on the 2nd monday [...]

New work….finally

My favorite rag balls. They are silk and the most incredible color. I am saving these for just the right project.Sweet vintage fabrics used in the last rug of the three. Fun to think of the childrens dresses or shirts that these are from, and the weaver who painstakingly prepared the rags into these balls. [...]

Phyllis Scarbrough, of Raindance Baskets, is the newest member of our fiber family. With her 20 plus years as a basketmaker and teacher she is just what we need to get our classes back up on the website and will be an inspiration for me to get back into teaching mode. It is a joy [...]
