After a two year hiatus the Winding Roads Art Tour had a very successful return on June 4-5. I was fortunate to share the home of my friend, jeweler Nan Marshall to display my handwovens and jewelry.  It was fun to share our work with so many people, some from as far away as the Twin cities.  So hopefully we see you all again next year. And many thanks to Nan and her family for opening their home for this wonderful event.

Between getting covid and traveling for a family illness, my time to prep was cut back considerably.  Thankfully I didn’t have to clean my house and studio or weed all of my very overgrown flowerbeds. I’ve gotten much more realistic about the fact that you you can only do what you can do and the older I get the more I have to listen to my body.  So with that said don’t read the next paragraph.

I broke my personal weaving record by weaving 5 of my jewel scarves in  2 days (Not counting warping and threading the loom time).  I wasn’t walking quite right for awhile after that.  Hopefully I don’t do that crazy *%&# when I am down to the wire for the Driftless Area Art Fair  ;  hope springs eternal is my motto.
