I have just the thumb to finish, on a pair of mittens that I am determined to wear before winter takes its leave.
The last few days have seen temps in the 40’s with lots of melting snow and for me, thoughts of robins and daffodils are not far behind. I have done all of my get rid of winter rituals to not jinx this hopeful possibility of spring. The evergreen garland came off the deck railings, the felted snowmen garland is coming down, I am putting away my teeny tiny frosted trees, and turning my tea bag container with snowmen on one side, towards the wall, just so spring has a fair chance. If anyone else has some good juju to try, let me know.
Truth be told this is Wisconsin in February and I will likely get more than a few mitten worthy days…but now there is hope for spring blossoming in my house, if nothing else.
